Final Reflection
When I first signed up for this Social Media Practive class, I wasn't too sure what to expect. How hard could a class about social media be? The answer is, what you would expect it to be: not too hard at all. I loved this class. It was informative about all social media platforms, but it also taught you a lot about how the different social media policies companies have, and how to think ethically about different, real life situations and events. It also kept you "hip" to all big events that were televised, like the Oscars, the Super Bowl, or even with March Madness, but not only that, we had to TWEET, yes, TWEET ON TWITTER about some of these events to get credit. What other class could you possibly take that requires you to use Twitter to get your grade? Exactly.
I'm leaving this class with a lot more knowledge on the dark side of social media, fake news, social media policies, and why basketball is important (thanks, March Madness). This class was always filled with laughter, smiles, and people with their phones out taking a picture of that one kid in the back who always falls asleep. If I could do it all again, I definitely would.
Thank you to (future) Dr. Dani Woods. You really are the reason the class ran as smoothly as it did, and why it was always fun. You definitely are one of the few professors I will miss after graduation.
